Japanese Anime Culture: Figure Moe Zoku (Otakus who collect figurines)

Hi there, Stevan again here!

Sorry about the late post, been quite busy these days..
Today I shall explain to you lot about a special type of otaku. The term otaku is used to generally categorize a group of people who are fans of a typical hobby, topic or any form of entertainment. But of course, although it means otakus are fans of many general things such as history fans and warfare fans, today im going to explain about otakus who enjoy Japanese anime and manga culture, and collects figurines for life - The Figure Moe Zoku.

There are several manga and anime otaku types, such as lolicon (otakus who love imouto - younger sisters), moe-lovers (otakus who love "cute" animes and manga characters), and some extreme types who love Dakimakura (body pillows with anime characters printed on it)... but Figure Moe Zoku is more "normal" because you guys know right, that there are many figurines of cartoon characters in the toy stores nowadays? Spiderman? Wolverine? Superman and such? Well "we" (i am one of the Figure Moe Zoku tribesmen as well) love those things as well, like those Western people who collects Figurines of Superman or DC comic characters in their cabinets. But of course, for Figure otakus, collecting anime character figurines are top priority - and we are proud of it.

Figure otakus collects figurines for pleasure. They imagine the figurines came to life (this is extreme explanation for you guys), and they love to look at them just staying in the cabinets, changing the poses and faces of the figurines, or placing them on their work desks beside their laptops (like me).

Here is some of my collection (please dont mind the quality of the picture...) :

Some went to the extreme... :

Lastly, what i want to say is that we figure otakus spent lots of money for these... and because WE ARE LONERS... LONERS...loners... (cited from my friend Andy Hoo)

x-sport

Bungee jumping (also spelled "Bungy" jumping) is an activity that involves jumping from a tall structure while connected to a large elastic cord. The tall structure is usually a fixed object, such as a building, bridge or crane; but it is also possible to jump from a movable object, such as a hot-air-balloon or helicopter, that has the ability to hover above the ground. The thrill comes as much from the free-falling as from the rebounds.

Bungee Jump in Normandy, France (Souleuvre Viaduct)When the person jumps, the cord stretches and the jumper flies upwards again as the cord snaps back, and continues to oscillate up and down until all the energy is dissipated.

Century musical development of social background.

First, the further development of capitalism in Europe to promote cultural landscape has undergone a change. First half of the 19th century, some European countries such as Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Austria and other countries in varying degrees for the industrial revolution, big machine of capitalist production and promote the further development of the growing power of capitalism. Promote the development of the capitalist economy gradually shifted from musical art feudal bondage and liberation of repressed church, began to move toward broader social strata, more deeply human nature, reflecting a richer social life.

Second, countries face different social problems showing the development of the musical diversity and ethnicity. 19th century experienced the Napoleonic wars in Europe, Vienna system establishment, the Revolution of 1848, the sixties and seventies of the 19th century bourgeois revolution and reform and other major events, during which the situations in different countries because of social problems to be solved are also different: France need to further deepen and consolidate the bourgeois revolution has been achieved; Germany, Italy need to complete the reunification of the country; elimination of serfdom in Russia requires the development of capitalism. And many small and Eastern Europe will have to complete the backward countries against foreign oppression against their feudal national democratic tasks of the revolution. In this situation, with the musicians of the democratic ideology of discontent and confusion of reality and pour in their pursuit of music creation, the development of music showing the diversity and ethnicity.

sci-fi film

Computer-generated imagery also can help people to produce sci-fi film. What is sci-fi??Sci-fi is stand for science fiction, this type of film usually have a theme about alien world, monster, super hero, cyborg, and futuristic. Futuristic technology in this case is time travel, cyborg, robot, etc.

old science fiction
The fist sci-fi film is “a trip to the moon” release on 1902. That film doesn’t have any special film or even sound because the technology on that time very limited therefore that film is a big deal for many people on that time.

 current science fiction
Nowadays teenagers and 20s people like genre science-fiction because there are many action ,special effect and good story line the best example for this is harry potter , avatar, pacific rim and many more of us would know who are they and  how adventure did they  do, how many award that film gain and many more.

Today and old animation animation film

Like my post before about "Computer-generated imagery in film and animation" they using
computer-generated imagery to created animation film. In the past animation film watched by child, i think most of us who born 90s will remember most Walt Disney film like Donald duck, peter pan, sleeping beauty and so on. In my opinion This is happen because Disney at that time dominated animation film  for the kids with give moral lesson in every single animation film which was they made this is also the reason why most people who watched that film still remember the plot and character even until now.

However, nowadays animation film become more popular because  not only kid who like watching film but  teenager, old people, or even pensioner like animation film. However, it also push more competitor like pixar, dreamwork, and so on  to enter the business and make the animation film even better. Like recently minion became boom even for old people because it is funny so i could says the audience like funny film and funny character to become popular.
