In the past animation film watched by child, i think most of us who born 90s will remember most Walt Disney film like Donald duck, peter pan, sleeping beauty and so on. In my opinion This is happen because Disney at that time dominated animation film for the kids with give moral lesson in every single animation film which was they made this is also the reason why most people who watched that film still remember the plot and character even until now.
However, nowadays animation film become more popular because not only kid who like watching film but teenager, old people, or even pensioner like animation film. However, it also push more competitor like pixar, dreamwork, and so on to enter the business and make the animation film even better. Like recently minion became boom even for old people because it is funny so i could says the audience like funny film and funny character to become popular.
